Was around this time last year I went to the Norwich board when they signed Skipp on loan from us and told them they’ll love him. Year later he made Championship team of the year and came third in their player of the year vote.

Feels similar to Cirkin. Think you lot will enjoy watching him once he’s up to speed. Lot of us disappointed he’s gone on a permanent deal but can also understand his decision as we’ve got three first team LBs at the moment and two of them are still early 20s. Would’ve likely made his debut last season in the Europa but he ended up having a rough year, lost his Dad and then got a few injuries.

He’s easily been one of our best prospects in recent years though and we’ve had a knack of selling or losing our top youngsters of late, you only have to look at Madueke at PSV and Edwards at Vitoria as proof, wouldn’t surprise me if Cirkin becomes another we regret letting go.

I’m still seeing people quote on both RTG and Twitter the “terms” of the deal that are identical to the terms I speculated / guessed a week or so back when this first broke :D

it’s mental.

so if anybody tells you the buy back clause is £6m, either it’s a coincidence, or my initial post is still being passed around as fact.

I originally said as an example that it might look something like: £1.3m up front; £6m buy back if triggered in first 3 years; 40% sell on if they don’t buy us.

so if you see anybody saying that - please know that it’s bollocks. Especially seeing we now know the initial deal is just 6 figures.

Has he had much of a pre season mate? I think he had an hour in your last u23 game but will he be match fit for Saturday would you say?

Hard to say mate.

Played in the U23s last two friendlies but missed the first three I think. Might be ready to start and play an hour or maybe come on at HT then build from there? Shouldn’t take him too long though either way I’d imagine.

Think that’s key, sounds like he didn’t have the best of times last season, let’s remember, he’s a young lad, this is a big move for him personally, in terms of geography. Hopefully he will get off to a flying start, but if he doesn’t I think people will be patient.

I’ve read Gabriel isn’t in the Forrest squad, wonder if that’s further on than is being suggested.

That was my fault, I miss read your post then posted it as the actual deal, it just kept running. Sorry.

ok so the lily white rose guy is reporting it now and he has actual sources so perhaps I just had a really good guess :D

I’m not bothered just think it’s funny - and I felt a bit guilty if people thought it was the truth. But perhaps it is anyway
