Really pleased we’re getting a LB. Dan did a good job filling in on Saturday but got rinsed a couple of times especially in the first half (to be expected given he’s young and not a defender). LB has been our most crucial signing required so onto a RB, Striker & CB next please.

The constant creation of future scenarios whereby players are injured/suspended/killed by falling meteorites is really tedious.

They love inventing situations whereby we sign no one, Hume leaves and other players drop like flies ....

... but suggest we do sign players, Hume doesn't leave and we have a strong squad and they refuse to accept the possibility.

Repeating the same 'no full backs' shyte, on the hour every hour, is making the board unreadable.

I don't often say this but it's about time the Mods started wiping out posts that are virtually identical to the last one.

This was yesterday but could be any day tbh.

"Squads not good enough though is it. It's missing 3 or 4 defenders. 3 would be starters and that's before looking at strikers. We also are a couple of injuries away from struggling to put a team out. I hope to see this rectified but we're painfully slow at getting people in so far."
Agreed

Well done to the club for holding their nerve ...

... and shutting up those claiming we're skint, inactive and failing to sign players.

We could've easily signed a dozen left backs, before now, but we held out for a PL player and won a difficult game in the meantime.

"The left-footed teenager was hailed as a rising star with “a lot of quality” by Jose Mourinho when he took over as manager in November 2019."

Get him on the bus for the Potteries <laugh>

Mourinho was a huge fan of his, he’d have not been allowed to be sold if he was manager I don’t think.

Can’t blame people for wanting to see the evidence after our recent experiences but fingers crossed this is the start of the evidence

There have been a few that have moved I'd have signed yes. There may be some available that we could sign we don't know about too. Just to say we are waiting and def will get them before deadline is blind faith. Nothing so far proves this will happen.
Care to name these full backs that you would have signed, just so we know what your quality threshold is? if there are players that we could have signed that we "don't know about", ergo we couldn't sign them, "known unknowns" I think is the phrase. And I don't think anyone has said we will "def get them before deadline" about any player.

Not at all mate, it's normal, but KLD spelled things out and took the piss out of Donald.

He's already spent on the infrastructure and the likes of Evans and Pritchard will have cost us ....

... their signing on fees, agents % and wages won't come cheap.

If it's true that the Cirkin deal is nearly done, then I'm glad that we've held out for quality rather than a bog standard league 1 player. If we're shopping in the Premier League youth market especially for players that are really rated at their club, then it'll take time to get them in but you know they'll be good players. Can't wait to see what the team looks like come the start of September

Yep,and if we sign this lad from Spurs,it'll be more evidence that,at long last,we've finally got recruitment management people who know what they're doing.
