You'd think united would see our options up front and be sure he'll get games. Stewart won't play every game and this lad would be next choice. Think that's what we should be telling them. Just them them a did of aob and they'll know what we mean

I can see why a loaning club would want to guarantee a certain number of games, but on the flip side that could be detrimental to development if he knows he is going to get a game anyhow.
Make him play his way in and then be undroppable has to be the way forward

I don't know if it's deliberate but we're slowly becoming a squad of adaptable players.

Evans is a good centre half, from what I've seen, and Pritchard seems happy wide of through the middle and will want to take free kicks.

O'Nien, Winchester, Gooch, etc can all play well in different positions.

Perhaps it's all part of a plan so we don't end up depending on one man as we did with McGeady then Wyke.

Grigg would be guaranteed games if he actually put in some effort and played to his ability.

On the subject of some concerned over signings and the club statement of getting the right players in.
Grigg is a perfect example of Donald wasting cash compared to some of the free signings and loans we've got in.

Times have, the game is still 11 against 11.

And teams use more players than 40 years ago! The rules changes a few times too back pass rule and the advent of technology changing pitches, balks and equipment made game much faster. This causes more injuries and increases the need for more players. The days of 14 players in a season are long gone, but you already know that.

Squads not good enough though is it. It's missing 3 or 4 defenders. 3 would be starters and that's before looking at strikers. We also are a couple of injuries away from struggling to put a team out. I hope to see this rectified but we're painfully slow at getting people in so far.

Nobody said the squad was strong enough, everybody knows we need some defenders in and a striker.
