And anyone we don't sign is a world beater. simple this game innit?
Check my.posys I've never said that but a few have said all l1 signings thus far aren't as good as ours which simply isn't true. Plenty would have improved us. The recruitment team need to step up and fast as this squad isn't going to be enough to get us up. Simply in numbers along. We wait with hope.

Fans fault again
Not at all and that’s such a boring, cliched and overly simplistic response. We have different expectations as we’re a different club. Blackpool probably wouldn’t have recovered the way they did with fans in the ground either. Their forums had certainly lost patience by Christmas.

Plus, whilst it’s not the fans’ fault we’re not infallible either and we can play our part in helping a young squad through this by not making it ‘a difficult place to play’.

I'd say we have exactly the same expectations as fans from other clubs - we want to see out team win.

To suggest that a slow start would have led to such a negative atmosphere from the fans that the players would have been unable to perform is incredibly disrespectful to our fanbase

Check our home form last year (with no fans in the ground) versus previous years and come back with a more learned response

I think we could be in for a poor day tomorrow but still a really good season.

I just hope the fans don’t over react if we do struggle. It’s vital the players retain confidence and have the bravery to play and take risks to make the system and style we want to adopt work. The fans at the ground are going to have to play a huge part in that. Hopefully no groans when Doyle first gives the ball away to their striker trying a through ball for example.
They will overreact

Seems universal amongst the Spurs fans that they’d rather keep him.

That’s a top 8 Premier League club.

Seems an exciting one even if I know **** all of the kid.
It’s also a permanent signing not a loan, which sounds to good to be true. I have fingers and toes crossed. If my hair was long enough I would have that platted as well!

The "fans fault" response to anything that even slightly criticises or analyses the impact of our crowd reaction is beyond tedious.

Can't that be debated / discussed without dismissing it as "blaming" fans?

We talk about the positive impact our fans in a full stadium can have. If we can acknowledge that it can have a positive affect, we also need to acknowledge it can have a negative one.

doesn't make it anybody's fault and its a "problem" most clubs would kill for

It’s absolutely a thing, and anyone who is a regular attendee will admit it.

We hear often opposition players mention it ‘we can use the crowd against them’, and you hear other fans mention it.

Gladly we aren’t perceived like the Mags fans, they think they are loved but one glance at social dispels that, but we are known as liking a scapegoat, putting pressure on the team, and turning early.

We had visuals live on Sky several times of fans walking out before half time with a chorus of boos ringing under Short. People have selective memories.

34 years I been going the match. Never boo’d our own. Been sat I stunned silence many a time of course.

Hopefully we get at least Cirkin in today but I can’t see us having anyone sorted in time for tomorrow.

I can't understand how some of us think that giving the team a hard time will motivate and build confidence, and turn a game around. There is definitely is a vocal minority who lose the plot very quickly. , probably pissed .

Exactly mate, it doesn’t help, it doesn’t motivate.

On the flip side, there have been occasions when our support has been magnificent and dragged the team forward. Chelsea game, Charlton game couple years back, games when we’ve been behind and the roar has carried us forward.

he's not played much at all during pre-season so I doubt he'll be anywhere near ready. might even be a few weeks? just guessing like.
But I read on here that any late new signings would slot straight in and pre season was erellivent? As normal the truth is somewhere in between the 2 extremes.

My take is that we are a very stressed aggressive set of fans. Great if the opposition feel it (respectfully). Not great if our players get it when they make a human error.

Don't think you can blame us after the last 5 years of so. I'm shocked so many still turn up let along are vocal.

again, nobody is blaming. fans entitled to react how they want. doesn't mean the affect can't be acknowledged and doesn't mean that other fans can ask others to be patient / consider it.

I reckon the atmosphere tomorrow is going to be class btw.
