It’s Friday reveal day man, we’ll unveil a few today and parade them at the match tonight man, then everything will be looking rosy again
Stop crying and I'll wind my neck in then.
Have a bit of bloody faith - the ew owner has been here 5 mins and already made massive investments off teh pitch and revamped the structure behind the scenes. It's going to take time and I'd rather we get it right than just recruit any old **** from Portsmouth
"gives". Missing question mark. Lost it before 09:00. I hope you're not allowed around knives and matches.
Agree it's not ideal, but if playing Younger and Neil at full back for the 1st couple of games means we get some quality additions (rather than shopping in the McFadzean section) then I'll accept that. All eyes on the net few weeks.....I appreciate what he's doing off the pitch, building a team thats capable of getting out of our league is number 1 priority though. The season finished nearly 2 months ago and we have yet to see a cash signing. We still have no fullbacks, replacement for Wyke or any kind of strengh in depth. Mcgeadys obviously not going to play every game this season so we need a player with similar ability out wide aswell. Going into the season so depleted is not an acceptable way to run a club in my opinion
SCMP not apply to these like. 12 months ago they nearly went out of business.
Didnt Grumpy say something like the owner can put his own money in as long as it isn't a loan. A risky strategy obviously because he will have to do it every year till the contracts run outSCMP not apply to these like. 12 months ago they nearly went out of business.
Didnt know that. Thought it was earned revenue only but I am no expert. Wigan have sold 6k season tickets so has to raise an eyebrow.Didnt Grumpy say something like the owner can put his own money in as long as it isn't a loan. They took 6 points off us because of the **** We had.I'm not so sure Wigan have improved that much, but they did take 6 points off us with the **** they had last season. (He says hoping to get the thread back on track)
Only on fees, not wages I think. Wages are capped at a percentage of turnover.Didnt Grumpy say something like the owner can put his own money in as long as it isn't a loan. A risky strategy obviously because he will have to do it every year till the contracts run out
According to their website they have 4 first team players, which must be what they had at the start of the summer.Well that explains why Wigan have had to push the boat out

It is to us as fans!!
But addressing the state the club was in when KLD took it on will be his number 1 priority!
Look back at the state the pitch when he 'took control' and that is the one thing we could all see was a disgrace for a club of this 'size and reputation' we were once renowned for the quality of our pitches.
Although I have no knowledge of the state of the rest of the club we have all heard how much money we were haemorrhaging that all takes time to sort out and especially in the current climate.
Although the fullback areas are a concern we still have players that do a decent job in them areas if it does take a little more time to get the right player in
If Embleton recreate any where near his form for England he would keep McGeady out of any side and we have hardly seen him in a red and white shirt
Ensuring we do actually have a club that is sustainable is probably the right way to run it IMO
Who is to says it's not a priority mate. Everyone is second guessing what is going on behind the scenes. Let's see where we are come the end of the window. I'd rather try everything to get our top targets rather than going for the run of the mill journeymen. It's a gamble but one worth takingEmbletons main position is central so he's not going to replace Mcgeady anytime soon. He played wide Right a few times for Blackpool but their fans didnt really rate him there.
As for the club do you not think it would make sense for our long term future to invest in the first team squad now, get out of this league and get ourselves back on the footballing map. Theres no money to be made in League 1. Whats the point in pussy footing around and risking yet another season down in the lower leagues with a nice posh stadium and fancy Pitch? I agree all that work needs to be done but the first team squad should have been a huge priority as soon as the final whistle was blown back in May.
