not saying the Daily Mail article is wrong, and its not surprising that not many of the main outlets are reporting on it as it seems that we really are keeping cards close to chest nowadays. Can only assume Gallacher's side leaked this to the DM rather than us.
My post that you responded to was nothing like writing them off though. Irrespective of the window still being open, I will repeat people can only comment on what we have done so far, because those are the guarantees. Will there be more coming in, probably, do we know the quality of course we don’t. Of course it’s a bigger picture and long term, but the short term is to get out of this league. Do you know what’s worse mate? The fact that I am losing the passion that I have had for 50 years, now that may not be of a concern to you, but will be to the people who know what I am like with regards Sunderland AFC. Nit all are quoting dm so nit striktely true. Other media outlets also have their own sources and as you say no one has said dm are wrong. I can agree that speakman shouldn't be giving regular updates (someone from club should comment on the dm story on this occasion though and guessing that'll be lj tomorrow post game). Could you imagine the responses to some of those posts? Its bad enough now when no-one really knows whats happening behind the scenes but if they posted about a bid being turned down, they might as well just deactivate the account straight away!
Cant say I've read every comment , but we should never be going into the final pre season game with some positions having zero players available.

Successful ones aren't generally. Remember that we have had those. Even if they were in distant past. Mic mac reid and big Sam all had good ones. This one won't be judges yet but we're currently weaker than last year where we finished 4th in arguably a more competitive league. Lots to do
