Had a quick look at a Liverpool fan account on Twitter and a couple of fans saying coming to us would be a good move for him, would like this one to get done

Gallacher and this Key fella, even without seeing them play much myself, would just be brilliant. Exactly the kind of full backs we should be signing.

can’t remember the last time (or ever?) we had a full back on both sides that liked getting forward and putting crosses in.

And before anyone says “how can you tell if you’ve never seen them play?”. Well it’s because I’ve read enough reviews / comments about them from people who have seen them play to be convinced

Two quick full backs who get forward would actually negate the need to “replace” Jordan Jones with an out and out winger.

feels like Johnson wants to play with two tricky wide players who come inside with a full back overlapping them, with Corry Evans or Winchester (or both) slotting in to help the defence when the full backs bomb forward

Sorry for the multiple posts, but it really also shows you how important the right full backs are. Attacking ones who can also defend essentially cover two positions and allow your attacking midfielders to come inside and help the striker / get goals / take up defenders.

It’s why our team currently looks underwhelming because I think it’s setup to use full backs that we don’t have.

And it’s why it’s important the club doesn’t rush in signing the wrong full back.

I'd rather take a hit for a couple of games and get the right people in, look at the Keane seasons

6 games in until we got are team sorted, and we won the league still

I mean just look at last season - McGeady and Sanderson barely played until November. Clearly would have been better if they played earlier. But I reckon people would have rather had them from November than two much weaker players from July

and in this scenario we are only talking a few weeks at worst.

Its been 20 years imo. Gray and Makin overlaped like crazy. Very little since.
