I'm looking at it like this: Better players will take longer to get over the line. The ground work will have already been done, and the floodgates are opening. Exciting month ahead!
If this was the first time we'd dragged our heels trying to escape this chod of a league I'd agree. At the fourth attempt it's just naive.

No matter who is in charge, no matter who the owner is. We still dont sign players early in the window. Odd that.

Yeah, I know, but this time feels different to me. Like there is a measured approach to it, rather than scatter gun or waiting for a bargain last minute.

We are only one third in to the window.

He's poor by PL standards ...

... more than good enough in this league.

ps, I'm far from easily eased, just realistic.
He's good enough to play in this league. However I don't believe he's good enough to build a promotion winning team on unfortunately. I'd like to see us bring in a new number 1 if I'm honest

Maybe they are finding it a little bit more difficult than they thought getting the exact player they need with their new system in division 3, because all the players are pretty s hite.

We're only 3 days into the window :emoticon-0105-wink:

A big centre forward who can hold the ball up is high on my list.

I'm in two minds about the keeper. Burge does a lot well. If we got a commanding keeper, though, and an imposing centre half, we'd be a long way towards a top-two side.

Really? Cost us more points than he earned us.

Burge has the odd good game and can make good saves but rarely makes me feel assured and confident and he’ll be doing the same with the players. Personally I think quality in centre mid and the fullbacks is a priority for us right now.

Got to disagree there. Which games and mistakes come to mind?
I’d be on for about an hour naming them all. Hull City at home and Blackpool away are the first couple that come to mind though. He’s just not good enough.

Cheers. They were poor errors, looking at the highlights again. Which other games can you remember?
