I’ve never been convinced by him but I suppose the more experience he gets he will probably calm down. We already know Burge isn’t very good so I’d rather take a chance on Patterson and develop him than play someone we know isn’t good enough. That is of course if we aren’t going to sign a new keeper.

Is that a new report? As when it broke yesterday someone on RTG who implied they knew him said he was in Cornwall with the rest of the Boro squad still and that it was just his agent putting rumours out.

non-starter for me. Forest fans seem to want him to start. The likes of Gabriel Sutton on twitter (who knows his EFL stuff) thinks Forest should be starting him as well. And if he leaves you'd imagine he'd be playing Championship football, and likely for Blackpool if they can afford him.

Only chance I reckon we would have is on loan if Forest want to keep him but loan him out and not to a divisional rival.

Mate of mine is an Ipswich fan who's been annoying me all summer with 'Incoming' each time they are on the verge of signing a player. He's only done it when it's really close.

Sounds like it'll be today.

You may be right. I did look at their forum and their main 'ITK' suggested nothing was imminent though.

They're very disparaging about our business to date on there. Getting well ahead of themselves.

Edit: I've just checked again and the same lad is now saying it's basically done.

If we don't our pre season will be severly effected. Prep for our first game must include a back 4, which currently we don't have.
