The only way this transfer could be less popular would be if we were signing Stewart Donald’s son.
 
Wouldn't be signing him then. Not a chance. A quick Google shows an assault charge a few years ago and in his own words he called himself a 'disgrace' for coming back to Celtic unfit.

If the loan we are close to falls through and we to to this.

Lyal Taylor is supposedly available, why not have a go at someone like him? Yes he turned us down under the chuckle brothers, but we should be a different proposition and we will pay his hotel bill.

Would genuinely rather we finished mid table and didn’t score enough than his goals fire us to promotion.

That’s not even worst case scenario. Worst case is he signs and can’t hit a barn door and ends up being a relatively expensive PR blunder in several ways.
