He is a tidy enough player but let’s not rewrite history. 1 in 5 in the French league is not a good record. The standard outside the top 5 in that league is appalling .

Yeah I believe that a goal every 190 minutes in the French top league as a 20/21 year old is good going. Apart from the superstars I'd wager not many players his age match that in the French league.

I'm not talking about his overall play. I've maintained that's lacking. His finishing is superb, though.

Not arguing the potential. If his finishing was superb surely he’d score more?

When you adjust a hat trick and 2 for Bordeaux means he only scored in 5 games for them.

Sonhe scored in 8 out of 60 games Bordeaux and Fulham. Stats per minute played show every 270 mins, but in reality it’s far worse.

I’m contrast in a 46 game league, that equates to 5 and a bit goals. I know a lot of games weren’t full 90 mins but that’s not a great record.

Remember, Wyke scored 30 last season. Maja has only consistently shown he could finish at our level, and our level is incredibly poor. There’s a reason Bordeaux don’t want to keep him, there’s a reason Fulham didn’t. He has potential, but at 22 you’d be fulfilling it if you were gonna to be anything really quality.

Unfair comparison on a way ‘player his age in french league’ is Mbappe.

I have delved stats wise as you suggested and found Mofi, David, Kean and Guirassy in his age bracket last season alone bettering that record (bettering your 180 not his actual 270)

He’s Championship at best.

We have got a couple of weeks free to get a mini pre season into him before Accy on the 11th. And also Huggins, Cirkin and whoever else needs mins though. Wouldn't be surprised if a couple of games behind closed doors are already sorted.
