But he will be forever remembered for throwing a goal in v USA at a World Cup, so he’ll be carrying that until his dying day. Poor lamb.
He will also be carrying with him till his dying day the first goal he let in against Swansea on the opening day 2012/13. Considering how badly that season went it might be a tad unfair, but I still think without that the season would have gone very differently!

For me, that was far worse that the USA blooper!

He should also be remembered for his man-of-the-match performance in the play-off final.

By QPR fans perhaps. But I’m afraid that the one that is etched upon my mind is the cock up in our end of relegation season home game against Newcastle between him and I think Boswinga which cost us a goal. That game really was the nadir, the absolute pits of a spineless team, a couldn’t care less manager, and a directionless club just giving up. I so dearly wish I had stayed in the pub that day. It was Brix’s Last game and I think he left at half time. What a horrible way to say goodbye to a team you have invested a lifetime in.

We genuinely bossed that first half. Park Ji-Sung was running the show and even at 0-1 at half time I was optimistic.

Who remembers this one?

I must admit 999's that I had forgotten that one, but I do recall many others!

It would seerm to be the case that he is particulary vulnerable on opening days - Swansea, Charlton & his Leeds debut come readily to mind!

Possibly, some great news....... from our Aussie papers.
Hoping there’s more to it than what’s stated.

SOCCEROOS defender Trent Sainsbury is a step closer to joining Queens Park Rangers after the English Championship outfit settled their financial dispute with the English Football League.

The Hoops have reached a settlement worth almost $66 million following a four-year legal battle with the English Football League over a breach of spending limits.

QPR manager Steve McClaren.
Under the agreement, manager Steve McClaren will be banned from registering new players in this season’s winter transfer window.

This may open the way for QPR to act now for Sainsbury, who has been in talks with the club after the departures of first-choice centre halves Jack Robinson and Nedum Onuoha.

The club’s No.5 jersey has been left vacant, giving the biggest hint yet that the arrival of the Socceroo may be imminent.

Let's hope so. Incidentally with the new season a week away have Ned and Robinson actually found clubs yet? Bit odd I would have thought Ned would be picked up by now.

Patrick Bamford either gone or going to Massive for stg£10m.......He's never really made the breakthrough he was expected to, seems to be collecting more clubs than golfers.......
