If he continues the current improvements I doubt we will have Cifuentes for more than another 18 months at most, unless he truly works a miracle and gets us promoted. New contract might help us avoid the massive disruption of an early departure and help us get some cash when he does go…..I would be delighted if Cifuentes signed a contract extension, even if I still can't quite yet fully join in the Marti love-in (some truly dire performances need to fade from the memory before I could do that). He's plainly done an excellent job in keeping us in the division and I think what I find most exciting for next season is the collective spirit that there seems to be in the squad now, for which he deserves credit - probably along with some of the senior players (I imagine Cook would be very influential here). He and his coaches have made us far better defensively and we now score from corners whilst not constantly conceding from them, plus the Jimmy Dunne to right back move has proved a masterstroke. All this without a natural goal scorer at centre-forward, so overall it's an 8 out of 10 from me.
We are having a bit of news every day it seems.I believe that Elijah Dixon-Bonner has signed a new contract. News awaits.
If we seriously want to challenge for promotion next season JCS is a key player. If a Premier League club come in fair enough they can pay Premier League price with a sell-on as well. £10 million minimum. You don't sell to your rivals, Stoke are a joke...
Good player who likes to play forwards. Hope he does sign, I think he will do well under Marti.I believe that Elijah Dixon-Bonner has signed a new contract. News awaits.

A promotion push? Is that what people are thinking for next season? We did finish 18th. It might not be beyond the realms of possibility but setting expectations too high rarely ends well. We've missed the window to sell our assets so many times over recent years I'm not sure we can be picky if the right offer comes in. I'm hoping JCS injury record will be enough to put off any suitors.

Ezes sell on fee?If we don't sell Jcs, where do you think funds for the required players is going to come from?
Given what we've seen of Marti, I'm sure promotion is very much on his radar whether 24/25 or the next season.A promotion push? Is that what people are thinking for next season? We did finish 18th. Having been safe before the final week, it's easy to feel like we finished mid-table. As it turned out though, if we'd lost our last two games (which many thought was very probable) rather than winning them, we'd have been relegated.
