I've seen a lot worse players in his position in the premier League. I'm sure he wouldn't have a problem playing there
Why do you think we haven’t had any offers for him then? We would accept almost anything given our finances. I’d be interested to see him play at a higher level.

I see he’s been linked with Rangers in Scotland. Which is not, of course, a higher level.

Seeing as we lose week in week out whether he plays or not doubtless we should cash in if we can.

Seems Burnley and Rangers interested in Field

Can't see him being here after 01st September
Just hope they and/or others get into a bidding war and we get as much as we can for him. We'd need to replace him plus we still need at least 1 CB, a RB, and a striker.

We’ll be looking for a 34-yr old free agent. We have a 33, looking at a 32, so a 34 would make a nice sweep.
Or we use a development youngster and let him learn the hard way.

Not sure it’ll be so much a bidding war. Maybe a game of battleships or tossing a coin with the other going for one of the other decent but unspectacular ‘DMs’ as the kids say.

I’m 33 and would only ask them to match my salary.

I don't know if we have had offers or not, time will tell. I don't expect to be with us before the window ends

Think we were in for this bloke once. Was a really good player then all went downhill quickly.

More 32 year old Steve Cook from Forest to solve QPR CB crisis type gossip this morning. But wages and ‘the structure of the deal’ can’t be agreed.

Apparently we also want a PL loan (an Arsenal right back previously gaining experience at Crewe and Kilmarnock mentioned) but we can’t afford the loan fees.

Let’s make it simple if it’s not free to get and cheap to pay it’s not happening.

Another speedy defender ffs. Turned us down to go there, and now he can't get a game will be on his way here ! Marvelous

QPR are looking to finalise a deal to bring in Steve Cook in the next 24 hours.

Cook, 32, is not in Nottingham Forest’s plans and Rangers have been in negotiations to take him to west London.

An agreement now appears to be almost in place and the defender could make his debut at Cardiff on Saturday.

If remember rightly, he chose Notts Florist over us because they offered more wonga.

I hope we stuck, at least, to our offer before seeing as he’s a year older and not picked up by anyone else.

Forest would be subsidising it or paying him off if it happens at all.

It’s not looking great for Ainsworth’s strategy of finding hungry young lower league gems.

I expect the logic will be that we wanted him a year ago and now that his legs have likely gone we will reduce our offer - in fact the Florists can pay us to take him off their hands and free up space for another 20 signings.
