Even if they add Ndombele I can't see him getting them the 20 odd points they were behind by last year.

There’s unconfirmed rumours that he might have his medical tomorrow.
Some are trying to play the guessing game in that we’ll announce a double deal alongside Clarke (I don’t think so) as Clarke is apparently done and it’s just when the club decide to announce it (completed his medical Thursday and supposedly inked a 5 year deal).
Providing nothing major goes wrong, I’d probably say Ndombele will be a Spurs player at some point next week, at least I hope so anyway.

If he is as good as he is made out to be he will have thr choice of any club willing to meet the valuation.
What we have in our favour is City and Liverpool are not looking for a player in his position, Chelsea can not buy in this window while United and Arsenal can not offer CL football this season.
I also think United do not need him and Arsenal simply can not afford him.
