It’s mad mate. We’ve been waiting since 2017 for a top CM so it’ll be a huge relief if/ when it does get finalised.
I’ve gotta feeling you’ll actually get Zaha, not quite sure how but I think the Arsenal board know they’re in a situation where they've gotta appease the fans and so will somehow conjure up a way.
Yeah it's funny one that Zaha situation. Everything about it screams 'no way can Arsenal afford him', but why is it even a story ? Zaha himself has come out and said he want to come to Arsenal, so maybe we'll find a way ? He's a baller, and he'd be electric at Arsenal with Lacazette and Aubameyang. He's a perfect fit for us.
Juventus really wanted him but not sure if they made a bid or not as he supposedly didn’t fancy Serie A - plus they’ll be adding Ramsey and possibly Rabiot too so they’re pretty well stocked at CM. City were linked with him for a while but looks like they’re focused on Rodri. PSG had a brief link but that was probably more paper talk of linking a top upcoming French player to the top French team.

Yeah that’s what I was thinking. If you lot are as skint as what’s been said then the Zaha rumours make no sense, so I’m starting to think there’s more money than what’s been initially said OR you actually are willing to sell a big player to help fund the move but that’d be extremely risky.
I’m one of the few Spurs fans that want Zaha to join us. He'd be ideal competing and rotating with Son and Moura on the flanks and also providing cover up front for Kane but at likely £70m+ we’ve not got the money for that right now due to our priorities at CM and RB.
He's a die hard Gooner mate, Arsenal is his dream move. Which might just help push it over the line .. .somehow
We've just signed a £300m kit deal with Adidas, surely some of that has to go on strengthening the squad rather than buying another helipad for kronke's ranch ?

Only problem though if you do go for (and get) Zaha is that’ll swallow up pretty much all of your budget and I swear you lot need like two CBs, a LB and a CM? Lol.

Palace have just copped £50mill for AWB. They don’t need to sell, and as we, and presumably Utd found out, they’re not easy to deal with.
Personally, I don’t think he’s worth £80mill, but you won’t get him for much less.
The only thing that works in Arsenal’s favour over the price is that Zaha is Ivorian and not English. If it was the other way round they’d have no chance of getting him for less than £80m.
Palace might want one of their youngsters in return, while Arsenal will try and palm off dogshit like Mustafi and Guendouzi as part of the deal... unlikely that either team will make any progress and Woy will be kicking up a fuss on deadline day.

Players do not have that sort of connection to their boyhood club, they can’t afford to and it’s not how the business works. If he goes to Arsenal it’ll be because they shell out for him.

Yeah I can't really see it happening, barring a miracle. Or if we've actually got a stash that we've been keeping quiet about.
As Tel said, we'll probably try and palm off some **** to them (Guendouzi isn't part of that) But players like Mustafi, Elneny, Chambers, Jenkinson etc and top it up with some cash, but tbh I can't see Palace going for it.
