Mirror has us getting Ramirez and now leading the race for Curtis Davies. Personally I'm not that struck. Also liked with Tuncay again.

Tuncay is a strange one, he doesn't seem to fit the profile of players we have been looking for with him being 30 years old.

He can however play in any of the front three attacking positions as well as an attacking midfielder. He plays with good energy and certainly makes things happen. On a free transfer so not a terrible option to fall back on but cant see it myself.

Why we left it so late to get quality CBS is ****ing stupid , we knew this 3 months ago ?

Do you not realise that more business is done at the end of the window as that's where the best deals are to be done. We won't be held to ransom and pay over the odds for a player unless we think they're worth it, aka Ramirez.

I have faith that we will end this trasfer window with two new defenders (one of which can play as a left back or at centre back), a winger who can make things happen and a forward player with pace and something different. If all those things happen (aw well as, perhaps, a sly cheap deal for an experienced keeper to challange Davis) then we can be very happy.

The defeat to Wigan was a wake up call not only in terms of needing defenders (which we all know) but also in terms of getting players with pace and class to trouble defences in the top league - I think these issues will be addressed.

£11m is not over the odds for him.

Dale Stephens was a very tidy midfielder. I would have been happy to see us signing. Much better than Chaplow.

That's very debatable.

Agree but few teams will play as defensively against us as Wigan did.

Anyone starting to get concerned yet? only 3 days left and still nothing...

A couple of days ago people were just beginning to wonder whats going on but yesterday there were some positive rumours/links/movement on the Ramirez deal so everyones calmed down a bit now

Confident we will land three or four before the deadline. Just wish I knew who!
