I've said a few times that I don't think we need a striker, but after watching the Africa Cup of Nations, I absolutely adored Mayuka. Considering he could play anywhere in the "3" of a 4-2-3-1, I'm all for it.

 

If we were to sign Mayuka, I don't know much about him, is a good enough to start and if so where would we play him?

 

Either on the right or left of an attacking three.

 

Should we make a pact saying we can't be Southampton in the next FM? It'll be an absolute nightmare with all these players coming in.

I think he was always supposed to have quite a bright future. Villa are clearly very pressed for money though.

I thought Dale Stephens was pretty good for us. Seems I'm in a minority, but I know I'm right.

 

To be honest I think he would improve Villa's team at the moment, that's how poor it is. Based on what I've seen so far they're the worst team in the league.

That's 5 of the 7 players most recently linked that play in a squad number we've got available!! The only exceptions are Biyik who wears 5, and M. Phillips who wears 7.

Just wondering if that validates that we may be after any of the above (e.g. we've kept their numbers free to help entice them to come), whether that's part of why they've been linked (e.g. the press have looked at our free numbers and positions required and drawn some random conclusions), or whether the whole thing is just total chance.

adkins has downright said that we are not getting yoshida, so i'd forget about that one

 

Mirror has us getting Ramirez and now leading the race for Curtis Davies. Personally I'm not that struck. Also liked with Tuncay again.

I did think he looked like someone who had potential. But then again, I wasn't fussed at not signing him permenantly.
