Just heard a bit of vital news... Papa Waigo has 88 pace on FIFA 13, defiantly going centre back in my new Ultimate Team

Potential QPR back 5 of

Julio Cesar

Bosingwa - Carvalho - Dawson - Fabio

Could potentially be the best defence on paper to face a relegation scrap?

@SimonPeach:

Nigel Adkins is hopeful that #SaintsFC will be "very active" in the transfer market before the window closes next week.

Adkins refused to be drawn on Ramirez, Phillips or Olsson, but did say #SaintsFC "need to bring another centre-half if not two".

So the three players he was asked about he didn't comment on, but did say we need to sign at least one player in a position none of them play :D

All of those defenders also have the potential to cock up as well. Bosingwa and Fabio are very attacking-minded for a team that will need to defend a lot.

Few bits online to suggest we are monitoring Raul Garcia from Athletico....and yes it's on football transfer rumours and before anyone asks that isn't the only place I have seen it. Rumors of a 6 million value not sure if that's ££££. Or €€€€?

Not transfer related, and I have no intention to start a new thread. BUT, Mr Adkins and co now have bucket seats at the stadium which I believe also has heated seats integrated in them. The players only get the new seats they had before. Also, the advertising boards are supposedly generating £20,000 a minute!! So that's not to bad. Its all go at St.Mary's the cleaners were cleaning every single seat in the ground, new bits of stuff getting installed on the concourses, pitch looks incredible. Plus I saw some people on the roof, hopefully cleaning the bloody outside!! Can't wait for the Wigan game!!

Heated seats...mixed blessing if Cortese has the controls. If we see Nigel leap suddenly from his seat and start yelling at the team, we will know Nicola is not happy.

Or a gaping hole emerges and we see Nige swimming around under the pitch in a huge glass aquarium surrounded by sharks while NC smugly strokes his cat in his box

Just briefly going back to the QPR comment, their team is so imbalanced it's untrue. Bosingwa and Fabio are probably 2 of the most attacking full backs in the league but they sruggle defensively and with SWP and Hoillet in front of them are unlikely to get any help. This from a team which needs to accomodate the lazy Taraabt as well. tricky. If Hughes gets them to work as a team then they could be very very good but I can see them struggling.

Everton on the other hand - I reckon they will have an excellent season and may even make top 4 (there I said it).

Anyway, I realise this has nothing to do with southampon or transfer rumours so will shut up.

Yep, to be honest I doubt that Hughes has had that much say over the transfers, because someone who really knows football would know better than that. They're going to get annihilated down the flanks by a lot of teams, hopefully us included. They've got a ton of flair and pace, and very little of anything else, which is a good indicator that the people behind the scenes just don't know enough about the game. Very naive team.

Everton do look good, but I think it's same again for them. To be fair though, 4th seems to be well up for grabs right now.
