If SaintsPlayer really cared about the fans, there would be video of Adkins crammed into a broom closet, screaming at a mop about centrebacks with pace.
You're making him sound more and more like Sergei the Meerkat....................<whistle>

****ing hell QPR are really going for it. Dawson, then Carvalho and now they are in talks with Julio Cesar.

There was a post on this board from someone a few days ago saying that we don't need to worry too much about our defence, as QPR's looks pretty poor. Famous last words.

No pace there, though, that's for certain. Classic short term planning.

meanwhile we are still waiting... time is ticking

Maybe it's as simple as players don't want to come to us (Ramirez excepted) - at least not the ambitious targets that we want. Which is perversely a good thing. I'd rather be going for that level of player than accept players of a lesser standard. Who said building something of beauty would or should be easy?

Meanwhile, Manchester City offer £30m for some "defensive cover" in the shape of David Luiz.

I wouldn't mind Charlie Adams. Not as a replacement for any other targets, but as a separate option. Imagine his salary expectations will be too high. I know he's not pacey or a CB, though. The fact Liverpool are looking to sell him and Spearing to afford a bid for Dempsey suggests that they are not going to have any spare change to piss around with Bologna over a deal for Ramirez, though.

Charlie Adam isn't better than what we've got, seriously.

Must be Heskey:
Alan Nixon ‏@reluctantnicko
Too bizarre to believe. Striker. No good.

Alan Nixon @reluctantnicko
Not good enough. Can't believe it is even possible.

Maybe Alan misread the info he was given...

'Saints manager wants Emile Heskey' or 'Saints manager want a meal in West Quay'?
