Not having a go, just seems slightly hypocritical. Holloway also says someone has bid for Tom Ince. Where is the big song and dance from Holloway about that one?.
He has a personal hatred with us ever since we sent his Leicester team down in 2008

I think we handled the Chamberlain situation and the constant media coverage with about as much grace as possible.
So I think we're are perfectly placed to criticize holloway and blackpool. They did the same with Charlie Adam. They treat there players like possessions and not humans

The issue isn't the bid. It's the alleged tapping-up. If we had just kept bidding and Phillips handed in a request it may have been difference.
 
I doubt the "tapping-up" is as serious as people think, we will have informed his agent of our average wage, the player will know. I imagine its common practice in football now.

Funny you say that. I've just been listening to 606 and Robbie Savage said he had phone calls (directly to himself) from representatives of other clubs asking him if he would be interested in joining the club and mentioning figures to him.
 
Like i said its common practice, why bid for a player that may have no interest in joining you?. Not alot Holloway can do about it at this point
 
Still think all this tapping up crap is Holloway trying to get us to **** off.
 
Alan Nixon on twitter has suggested we are also looking at bringing in Christian Tello from Barcelona?! i personally don't believe it but wondered what you guys think? CRAZY?!

I agree in a way - I don't think he looks bad but I think he benefits a LOT from being at Barca. Every time I see him do something good, it's running on to a pinpoint Messi/Xavi/Iniesta ball rather than something he's created.

Exactly but then that's what people(idiots) say about messi, so who knows?
 
Tello is miles better then Puncheon and about a billion times better then De ridder. So even if he's 'not that good' , he's still better then them two.

Thing with Tello is he is a very raw talent. He needs games and the right coaching before anyone judges him.

I don't really think that's fair. Barcelona youngsters get a lot of hype because they've been trained at the best academy in the world, by the best coaches, in the best system. I highly doubt you've seen much of him anyway considering he's spent most of his career playing for Barcelona B and Espanyol B. Rubén Rochina had only played for Barcelona B before joining Blackburn, and he looks pretty good.
