Apparently in his desperation to sign for us, Buttner bizarrely went and got a tattoo done on his face like this

We're one of a handful of clubs linked with Christophe Berra in the Sun. That'd be the experienced cb we're after then - and at £3m I'd be happy with that
 
Not sure about Berra. Is he any better than Scott Danns? Lots of people on here were very unhappy that we might have been bidding for him.
 
Thought Berra was quite poor for Wolves last season. No as poor as Johnson granted, but still quite poor. For such a crucial position, I'd be wanting us to do a whole lot better than Berra.

Said it before about Johnson, but that Wolves defense was so appalling when I saw them last year that I don't know what to make of any of them as individuals; can't remember seeing a bad four at that level of competition that saw its shape disintegrate so thoroughly, so frequently. It certainly wouldn't fill me with confidence if our central defense consisted of Jos, Fonte and Berra, though he could prove capable on a team that wasn't so prone to running about aimlessly.

Berra and Johnson aren't bad players, Wolves were just rotten all round. Same with Dann and Blackburn. We'll see what happens.

He is a huge talent - surely will move from Bologna, but to a bigger club than us. No chance of Saints getting him.
 
Waigo & Guly both from Cortese contacts in Italy. Could well be an ounce of truth in us being able to acquire talent from the old country
