I'd take Bale and Walcott back in a heartbeat. They left under difficult circumstances, and also they wouldn't be the same players they are now if they had stayed with us.

But I wouldn't take them back if it meant bankrupting the club.

And it wouldn't happen anyway. Neither of them.

Yeah, I'd take Waclott back too. Wait, who?

Whoever RLGB is, if you're serious that you wouldn't bring back Bale and Walcott, you're deluded. Walcott and Bale have played Champions league, Bale even tore Inter Milan's defence apart, the SAME defence that won the champions league the season before, and made them look stupid. But no, you wouldn't take them back. Because this is your world, that only you live in. Idiot.

Hmm, no its an opinion.

And you are making me out to be a f****** war criminal just because I prefer to see our new young players come through as opposed to having ex players back.

It's his opinion guys. Let's respect it even though it is one of the stupidest things I have ever heard.

If we do not just roll over and agree, or argue in reply - we are being disrespectful.

RLGB is getting himself into the top 10 stupidest things said on Not606 verrrrry quickly.

Several times.

<laugh>

You guys just won't accept that someone has a different opinion...

I'll come back when you've calmed down <whistle>

I beg to differ. Clearly they have accepted that you have a different opinion, then they have told you they disagree and presented you with reasons why. It is a process commonly known as debate. When you make silly bitchy comments like this, or like St George's "idiot" comment, then it escalates into a petty argument.

Basically, it's important to know how to debate like a grown up.

Joe he is going to come back later when we have calmed down, okay?

We are still calming down - evidently.

Yes, this. My last comment was in retaliation to George's comment.

I will say no more :)

Can you answer my question first? :)

RLGB, what do you think would happen if we brought Bale back? Suddenly the rest of the players (none of whom were here when Bale was EXCEPT DAVIS AND LALLANA), the management (none of whom were here when Bale was) and the board (none of whom were here when Bale was) will suddenly relapse into how they were (except, not they, because literally every person is new EXCEPT DAVIS AND LALLANA) when Bale was last here?

Yeah exactly, I'm just struggling to understand any other mindset.

That's the weird thing about all this, why would his old club want to resign Walcott when no one was here when he left? I see the Metro have run the story as well, using that old trick of reporting that there are "Southampton rumours", in other words the story isn't concrete enough to make up their own rumour. Hopefully we all now understand what a steaming pile of horse manure this is.
