I'm fine with variations of 4-4-2, I'm also fine with 4-4-2. What I'm not fine with is shoving players out of position just to fit new formations - for example a few people seem dead set on shoving Rodriguez on the wing.

Oh dear. We did not spend 6 million on Rodriguez to play him out of position. He´s natural goal scorer and has to be getting on the end of crosses not putting them in.

Are we just gonna buy youngsters?

It's works on FM,but will it work in real life?

I like the idea of signing youngsters, but we need 1 or 2 more experienced players.

Nigel said he wanted 1, if not 2 keepers.

My bet is that he would bring Paulo in as one for the future. He wants one to immediately challenge and one who buys into the long-term vision for the club and is in our plans for the future.

yeah and Forecast in goal.

Bet you nearly creamed it Saturday when Jayrod scored. How was the rest of his game? Haven't heard much.

4-3-1-2 would work for us.

I like 4-3-1-2 as well.

Davis
Richardson-Fonte-Hooiveld-Fox
Cork-Davis-Schneiderlin
Lallana
Lambert-Rodriguez

Obviously can't stick to this religiously because against teams with rapid wingers we'll be bummed down the flanks.

That's a crap defense for a Premier league team.

I remember pardew's comment about Ched Evans getting raped by Michael Essien on MOTD, but this sounds like an even worse experience - must be avoided I'd say

so far we have bought 2 players, one of which is experienced, i don't really see a problem

The problem is the "one" part. MLT7 is saying that we need a few MORE....which we do. There is still a lot of time left before the season starts and before the transfer windows shuts so we have to be patient...but as Nigel said, we would have preferred to bring in players earlier.

Sometimes it just doesn't work like that. This isn't Football Manager.

half of the players we have bought have premier league experience, yet people are saying we are only after young unproven players and complaining about it. There is no basis for that arguement yet

Martin Allen said on TalkSPORT that GFC have officially agreed a fee for Gazzaniga with a PL club "who don't want to be named."

He says £2m is a big amount in L2 and can allow him to aim for the title rather than the play-offs.

Hahaha! Another striker linked with Hammers.

West Ham have lodged a bid with Manchester United to take unsettled forward Dimitar Berbatov on a season long loan. #mufc #whufc

They're linked with Modibo Maiga as well. I do wonder if Big Sam has memory problems and just forgets when he's signed a striker.
