What I meant was the Davis one is clear cut in that he has signed for us and it is just whether the newco is entitled to any money. Saints will not throw him back at this stage. The Buttner deal has not gone through and we are more likely to walk away.

Well it worked for big Sam last year. After all, if you have 9 strikers the chances are you might actually find one that can score. Whereas Nigel picked a January goalscorer in one go.
