It's very rare that a player would declare where he wants to go.

However, maybe it's because he likes our vision etc. and wants to be a part of a club growing further <ok>
 
Well I'm writing this deal off then (whether or not that's a good thing, I've no idea). Cortese wont be happy.
 
Fulham offered 1.6 millon according to SSN. Is it me or does this seem very cheap for a 23 yr old on the verges of the Dutch National team. I was expecting closer to the 3-5 million bracket.
 
No, it's only English players who are hideously overpriced. Then again you are taking the gamble when signing players from abroad that they could be another De Ridder rather than a Schneiderlin.

He's apparently out of contract after the season and had indicated that he was looking to move if he wasn't sold before next summer. Vitesse didn't have much leverage, from the sounds.
 
Funny how someone has shown a huge interest in joining us and all the other clubs fans, e.g QPR/Fulham have gone mental.... 'have fun getting relegated' 'glad we don't have a stupid name like Buttner joining us' 'how can he turn us down for a club like Southampton' YAWN!!!
 
I think the saints transfer rumour round-up was the most interesting thing from that first link (linked at the bottom of the article), shows how many people we've been linked to.

Barcelona signed Alba for 14 million euro's (which is what, £11 million or £12 million?). The same Alba who I'm tempted to pick as my player of Euro 2012.

Man United are being linked with Baines for £25 million.

Says it all.
