Naa we won't sign another striker.

Tabloids just trying to sell more papers.

Would've thought a CB will be our next target.

By the sounds of it there has been a lot of business going on behind the scenes.

Exciting times!

Definitely sounds there has been a lot of discussion and bids being put in about the place. However so far Saints have kept it quiet.

However, being in the PL now - when a bid is accepted I'm sure it will be printed somewhere.

I said " IT WOULD BE" not We are.., Piss on someone else's parade.

Funny thing to have a parade about if you don't think it's going to happen <laugh>

Just getting sick of people mentioning him to be honest, the only link is that he looks a bit like Jay Rodriguez's dad if you have really poor eyesight...

I don't know where people are getting all this stuff from about some big news on the way or that we are really active in the transfer market, the only thing I have heard that sounds remotely true is that we have had a bid rejected for Butland. Everything else just seems like speculation, and not very credible speculation at that.

I didn't say it because of a photo i saw.. Just the physicality of him. and the fact he was v. solid with Toulouse.. I knew he wasn't int he photo graph.

Never said you did, but the only reason people were talking about him at all is because some idiot thought anyone stood near to Rodriguez must be a player we are signing. Maybe he would be a good signing, but there's nothing to suggest Adkins even knows he exists.

Anyway, nothing personal, like.

Can you imagine the scene if we buy another striker? Sharp, Barnard, Jay and Lee pacing the room (hopping in Lee's case) chewing their nails to the knuckle, whilst Lambert lies back in his deckchair sipping another pina colada.

I know this isn't Saints related, but I can't believe Arsenal are signing Giroud. That is a really stupid signing in my eyes.

What is your logic behind this?

I just can't see a way to fit him into the team. He's big, slow and 6'4" so he can only play centre forward. If Wenger intends to keep playing his 4-3-3 then I can't see how he intends to accommodate both Giroud and Van Persie, unless Van Persie plays as one of the wide forwards, which would be really wasteful for two reasons:

1 - he's probably the best centre forward in the world
2 - it would be much smarter of Wenger to allow Walcott, Chamberlain and possibly Miyaichi to get more action.

What I now see happening is Giroud sitting on the bench because his style doesn't suit Arsenal at all, and there's no way he and Van Persie will play together. In a year's time, I predict that Arsenal will just have added another player to the list of strikers they wish they hadn't signed, along with Chamakh, Arshavin, Park and Gervinho.

Forward for Copenhagen. That's where my knowledge starts and ends.

Reading are in form him according to there local press. A lot of the rumours at the moment have us and Reading linked to the same players. Seems lazy journalism to me.
