If this is a true Rumour from the press.. and indeed Everton are going in for Jay Rodriguez.. I cna't say i would blame him.. Better club without the worry of relegation.. Not to mention Would help his England Career.

But another part of it would make me sick, As my brother is a Everton fan..

Fourth Official is an Everton fan and seems to know a LOT about Everton deals so he's pretty reliable on this.

Fourth Official is a douche of the highest order, OK? Has nothing to do with the fact he blocked me... ;)

Rodwell, Fellani, Baines and other mediocre players are likely to be sold creating more cash and space for Rodriguez, Pienaar and Drenthe

As much as I would love Jay Rod (the next James Beattie) to sign, I would fully understand it if he chose to join Everton for geographical and prestige reasons. I'm sure that NC and NA have other 'irons in the fire' and have the funds to bring in quality players before August.

From a conversation with a Saints fan and Chris Boden - Burnley Express Reporter:

danbsfc: @LT_Suzanne @bodenknights Heard anything re this? http://t.co/DPUiAEvV Just can't see it tbh. Expect Jay to sign for Saints next week?

(Chris) bodenknights: @danbsfc was expecting it to go through this weekend to be honest, Everton had been believed his preference but maybe too late

danbsfc summarised the rest of the conversation on SaintsWeb:

"Chris Boden says he'd be surprised if the deal fell through now. He thinks its just too late in the day for the Everton bid and he expects it to be confirmed over the weekend at some point.

He's even raised the point that Jay knows how much we want him here and questions why Burnley would accept less than the 6.5m we've had accepted."
