Would anyone fancy going for Robert Snodgrass? His future at Leeds looks uncertain and from the noises he has been making it sounds like he would rather be in the PL this season rather than try and get into it with Leeds. I think he would fit the bill perfectly - a hard working midfield dynamo that would add a touch of class to the midfield. I just wouldn't be sure if Leeds would want silly money for him?

Not sure, i rate him a lot but i think he's used to being center stage at leeds which he won't be with lallana in the team so would have to adapt.

Funny this has been brought up. My nephew plays for Saints' academy side and last month they had a tournament out in Spain called the MIC. Big tournament, the likes of Liverpool, Man Utd, Real Madrid, Barcelona, Inter Milan, Porto etc... were out there. There was 3 age groups - under 14s, under 15s and under 16s and the same side won all 3 age groups. They were called Aspire Academy from Africa. All talented players but it's pretty easy to beat a load of 14 year old kids when you are 6'3, probably really about 18/19 and built like brick outhouses. I remember watching one match with their under 14's and their 6'3 goalkeeper got sent off against Espanyol with the score at 0-0 after about 5 mins. Everyone thought this might give Espanyol a chance. This Aspire academy simply took off one of their midfielders and brought on another keeper standing at no less than about 6'6! How many 14 year old kids do you know who are 6'6?!
For what it's worth, Saints got through to the quarter finals, losing 2-0 to Real Madrid. A certain Monsieur Zidane was in attendance as his son is Real Madrid's goalkeeper!
I have it on good authority that we have enquired about Gio Dos Santos from Spurs. Nigel thinks the out of favour winger/attacking midfielder could really add some quality at a knockdown price as Spurs no longer want the player. It seems as though he's been around a while, but he's still only 23.
Every time I've seen him play he does well and then just gives the ball away easily. Would be a good player, I'm not doubting your sources but I can't see it happening my self.

He certainly has talent. Hope he has the attitude to back it up. Redknapp doesn't like him so that's a good sign.
Not a model professsional apparently, but Nigel could hopefully sort that out and it could just be a confidence thing with his chances limited at Spurs. He does indeed have a lot of talent.
Not a rumour, just a thought. Barnetta is leaving Bayer Leverkusen. Apparently he was linked with Newcastle, Sunderland and Wigan last season. IMO he would be an excellent signing, not likely to happen though.
Owen Hargreaves is available, that is one person you would not want, good player but ****ing bad injuries, however Man City have also released someone called, Gai Assulin, he is an ex Barcelona youth player who signed for Man city in 2010, suppose to be a good player, but has spent a bit of time out on loan, may be a good player for you, not good enough for a top Premiership team like Man City, but he could be great at Soton.
Bolton have let a few go like Nigel Reo Coker and Ivan Klasnic who may be worth looking at and maybe Paul Robinson but not many others that are good, but that is enough of players who are being released, I think someone like Matt Jarvis would be good for Soton or maybe even Jamie O'Hara, both really good players for Wolves and if it wasn't for them Wolves would have probably struggled to get any points.

I saw that too, and if he had the attitude then there's no reason why he couldn't get close to reaching the heights he was tipped to reach at Barca. Definitely worth a look at being on a free.
