I guess it depends on what motivates Hooper more; money, which Gala can certainly offer, or a higher standard of football, which obviously we offer, as we're in the Premier League.

If it's money then we can forget about signing Hooper.

Depends what you mean by higher standard of football as Galatasaray will regularly be in European competition and don't tend to do as badly as Celtic

True, CL football escaped me, but with us he can be guaranteed to be playing against the likes of Kompany, Vidic, etc twice a season, rather than getting to the group stages and going out there.

Amazing. The promo video, complete with Kashmir-esque music, is even better:

Imagine that played over plans for a new st mary's!

Not a rumour, more a suggestion.

In light of Bialkowski's release, we obviously need a goalkeeper, preferably a younger one who will push Davis for the #1 jersey. How about Fraser Forster? Spent the past few seasons out on loan, and kept a lot of clean sheets last year for Celtic. Unlikely to get game-time at Newcastle, could be worth a punt?

What about Scott Carson and Colin Kazim-Richards? It's more due to the reluctance of English players to live abroad. That may work in our favour in Hooper's case.

Fair point. But apart from those 2 and even Kenny Miller its not really an attractive prospect.

I would like us to sign Hooper I think he would do well for us, we will just have to wait and see. But knowing Cortese he will bring in someone that has never been mentioned on this forum.

Speaking of Kazim-Richards, he'd probably be available. He's been out on loan at Olympiacos. I don't know how good he's been, but he does play in a position we desperately lack depth in.

I heard Adkins is leaving and Matt Holland is taking over as manager. Once he has found the door out the medical room.
