Taking this thread slightly off track and to tactics. Saints play two defensive central midfielders which help to allow the wide players to roam. So we have tactics in place to allow a player like Jarvis. Would you prefer us to keep these tactics or get a more attacking central midfielder on board?

Not sure. If we get in a good quality RM, who is direct and scores goals (like Chamberlain) then I'd be happy for us to stick with a more defensive CM pairing, although a more attacking option in CM would still be useful in the squad. Who would you drop to accommodate an attacking CM? Cork was our ever present in the team this season, and Morgan has undoubted qualities. RM however has been a weak link. Will be an exciting transfer window!!

I wonder how likely we are to get Hooper over the summer?
Probably not helped our chances by his bagging four goals today, and the attention that will bring him, and the £s Celtic are going to add to his value.

I would say slim to no chance, he recently did an interview where he said he didn't want to leave Celtic as he wanted to play in the Champions League

Rodallega is a good player if you can keep him happy, he is also being released by Wigan as his contract is up so there could be some stiff competition for him

Seems to have abit of a ego tho, thinking he is way better then he really is.

I think you may be right but if he was deemed to have the right attitude he certainly has the skill and potential to score goals at this level. I see him doing well next season, if he is in the Premiership, wherever he ends up.

If West Ham don't go up, I wouldn't mind looking at Tomkins, Noble and Collison. All fairly young and they have quality and energy too. 3 footballers in Fat Sam's hoofball team.

Good call. Haven't really considered West Ham's players as I'm just assuming they are coming up too, but of course anything can happen.

Jelavic has done amazingly well at Everton continuing his goal scoring form from Rangers. Shame we can't seem to tempt Hooper into joining us. But i suppose playing for Celtic is the easiest way to play CL football/European football...even if it's not for long. Sure he will want to try out PL football soon though.

Defoe is linked to everyone. He's also paid twice as much as any of our players. So can't see it.

He has to toe the Celtic line meantime - I doubt very much if he`ll be at Celtic next season. He`s won the league, time to move on. I suspect his price won`t be any more than it was in the last transfer window.
