We will offer him great wages - not insane but superb for his age - a supportive and passionate fanbase, superb facilities, a great atmosphere and feel about the place due to successive promotions, and importantly, lots of football.

Precisely, but if some of the teams who have been linked with him in recent times (Man Utd and Spurs) also come in for him then it will depend on the 2 factors I mentioned above as to whether or not he joins us.

What sort of player is he? Judging from the clip, he has very sweet technique.

Mainly a central attacking midfielder, which you could say is a position we could do with strengthening, and I think he can play on the right as well. For Crewe he mainly lines up as a central midfielder in a 4-4-2 alongside a more defensive midfielder like Ashley Westwood or Lee Bell. This makes me think he could make a great partner for Schneiderlin or Cork.

powell would be a coup, but who knows in football? Also a bit of a pipe dream, but chamberlain on loan would be very nice.

Looking at his profile on the Crewe website, he's not a big lad and might have trouble holding the fort in midfield as one of a 2. The long term plan is a 4231 though and I'm sure he'd be comfortable in that.

There was a bit of chat on 5 Live tonight about this guy, of course he is highly rated and Crewe fans are comparing him to some of their previous gems. I have to admit I'd never heard of him, but a quick Google brings up some (made up) transfer rumours to some of the top clubs, I'm sure he is being studied by a few, as are many young players these days. So good young player, whether we will make a move I'm not sure though. Will Nigel want to bring in a player who won't be first team material yet and pushes our own young players (such as JWP) down the pecking order?

Is it worth going for Scott Dann? Good for Brum, but his season this year was marred by a burst ball <laugh>

He's fairly tall, but slight, though that's to be expected at his age. Might not be a perfect 4-4-2 partner with Cork or Schneiderlin in the short-term, but he has a big future ahead...I'd be glad to get him for even double the reported offer.

(Awkward silence)

The last two Prem teams he played for have been relegated <whistle>

Brum were relegated due to the fact he missed half the season.

He only worked well alongside Ridgewell.

Don't know if someone has put this already put would we like to see the Yak in a saints shirt. Good target man, scores goals at this level. Wages probably within our wage.
Your thoughts??

Snodgrass is a class act. Heard rumours that Leeds were going to offer him insanse wages to stay though...
