Yep, Jarvis definitely a good signing, would also like Whittingham if Cardiff don't come up. Or if they do for that matter.

Good shout, isn't he more of a central player? I must admit i havn't really followed his progress this year. Or Cardiff for that matter <laugh>

Very few players are genuinely two-footed. Lallana is much better on his wrong foot than Jarvis, but Jarvis can play on the right too, which is probably where we'd play him.

Joe Lewis is out of contract at Peterborough and has asked to be released. He is a goalkeeper we have been linked to in the past, an England U21 international who can only get better.

Peterborough look screwed, basically transfer listing ther whole team.

More and more players are become 2 footed. Lallana has put a lot of work into his left foot, as has Jarvis. When you look at the likes of Nani and Hazard or more pertinent to Soton...Chamberlain you see that wingers are becoming increasingly expected to have decent ability on both feet

Yes, they train their weak foot and lots are decent with both feet, as they should be. But I can't think of many players who can, say, shoot with comparable power or accuracy as their natural foot. Lallana is one. Jarvis isn't. But he's still a good player.

Any predictions on how many pages we'll get this thread too? 218 my guess <laugh>

Might be even more this time! Being in the Premier League were bound to be linked to nearly everyone available going <laugh>

I am looking forward to the mate of a mate who's sisters nans dog works at the stadium has just seen "........." leaving he will sign :p

We will sign some good quality players of which I have little doubt, but the first we will know for sure is when the t's are dotted and the i's crossed!

Joe Lewis on a free would be a good signing as backup to Davis. He's better than Bialkowski.

Joe Lewis aint that good. He's played second fiddle to Paul Jones (the former Exeter goalkeeper, not the one who played for us) this season. He has potential, but I don't think he'd be reliable backup to Kelvin.

Rickie's also pretty damn good on his wrong foot. Noticed on Saturday that Adam's perfectly struck volley was on his wrong foot. In fact, I can't think of a more two footed Saints player, since MLT, in my opinion.

Me neither, he's hit some crackers with his left foot this season. In fact he often shoots with his left when he seems better placed to use his right foot!

Lambert's left is decent but nowhere near as good as his right.

And yet he has been playing very well indeed. On Saturday he was every bit as good as Fox on the other side.

Good. Back up to Frazer, with experience at PL level.

He has no pace at all, he is not prem class. If you want to just keep the players we have the club will stagnate. Cortese won't want this so i can see alot of people going tbh.

Yes but he will be coming up against a lot higher quality of player than Coventry have to offer. I personally would like to see a new RB and LB signed with Fox and Richardson dropping to back up.
