Summer Transfer Rumour Thread.

I never said it was mutually exclusive. That, and the fact that none of them are funny, are two totally separate (but accurate) observations. I don't resent people who make money; we all want to make money. I resent the fact that they have sold themselves out and made a mockery of the profession, purely to make some money, and they know that's exactly what they're doing. They write material that they know the public wants to hear, rather than material that they personally enjoy. Sort of like Metallica post-Black Album.

P.S. I know I'm making a sweeping generalisation and that not all stand-up comedians fall into my description, so don't bother pointing that out.

I should point out that I didn't make that observation. I heard it from someone else and I can't remember who. It's a good line though; funny and sad.

Truth be told it's very easy to avoid idiots who say things like that. Don't look at the Saints facebook page, don't look at the #saintsfc hashtag, don't follow morons on Twitter. Sorted.

Seriously though, you seem to have a problem differentiating between your opinion and fact. I don't like Lee Evans either but that doesn't mean he's not funny. He is funny to many people.

Back on topic, I'm not worried that Cortese is on holiday. Any company that grinds to a halt when its chief exec is out of the building shouldn't be in business at all.
