That's not mutually exclusive with the jokes being funny is it? Think you just have a chip on your shoulder about the comedians you don't like. You clearly resent the fact that they make lots of money and pull in big audiences.
I never said it was mutually exclusive. That, and the fact that none of them are funny, are two totally separate (but accurate) observations. I don't resent people who make money; we all want to make money. I resent the fact that they have sold themselves out and made a mockery of the profession, purely to make some money, and they know that's exactly what they're doing. They write material that they know the public wants to hear, rather than material that they personally enjoy. Sort of like Metallica post-Black Album.
P.S. I know I'm making a sweeping generalisation and that not all stand-up comedians fall into my description, so don't bother pointing that out.
