Interesting. If true, suggests Adkins view on the Chaplow or Hammond debate is that Hammond is higher in the pecking order.

Not heard anything of Hammond leaving.

Is there something in the settings anywhere that will allow me to hide any posts with the words "star", "echo" or "mail" in them?

This is the awful bit. For a few seasons we've been cheering on the Lads, who have been making brilliant efforts and now we're into the time to start letting some of them go. Lee Holmes went, and recently Dan Harding. Most of them will go over the next few seasons.

It is harsh on some players, like Harding, but Harding will be playing regularly for a team who will be going for promotion this season. I'm sure these players would rather play regularly for a Championship team then sit in the reserves for a Premier League team.

Why is Chaplow fighting for his place? Is he seriously do deluded to think he can displace Davis/Cork/Schneiderlin/Hammond/Guly/JWP/Lallana/Puncheon?

Chaplow is usually considered as an attacking midfielder rather than a central midfielder, so take out Davis, Cork, Morgan, Hammond and JWP. The team will then choose 3 from Rodriguez, Lallana, Lee, Guly, Puncheon, Chaplow, De Ridder and Chambers. Taking wingers/forwards Rodriguez, Lee and De Ridder out of the equation, Guly too as he's out wide at the moment, that leaves Lallana, Puncheon and Chaplow to play in the central playmaking role. Move Puncheon wide and that makes Chaplow second choice. If we bring in a quality winger and make Guly 2nd playmaker, then Chaplow will have a job getting through. As the squad stands though, he's still in contention.

That, and that he brings an energy and a work rate to the midfield. He's also one of the characters in the dressing room if Twitter's anything to go by.

Chaplow, Hooiveld, De Ridder and Cork are all great characters if Twitter is anything to go by. I'd like them all to stay for that alone.

Harsh. Chaplow is not deluded, he has ambition. He provides energy, tempo, bite and can score. Yes there are players ahead of him but we could well need him this season and L1 Saints gave Prem Man U a game not so long ago in the cup and Chaplow played a stormer and scored!

Ambition is nothing to be ashamed of and i hope he stays.
