safc not doing much, meanwhile the madness continues.
Everton have told Chelsea that Romelu Lukaku will start the season with them unless they meet his staggering £75million valuation.

The Blues are ready to offer up to £68million for the 23-year-old striker having had a £57million bid rejected.

But Everton are refusing to compromise despite accepting he wants to return to Stamford Bridge.

Mirrorfootball exclusively revealed news of the rejected £57million bid on Saturday.

It is understood talks between the two clubs have been ongoing for over a fortnight with Everton refusing to budge over the striker’s fee.

****ing bonkers...

He's a bit inconsistent to be fair. Then again, he can't be any worse than the dickhead he'd be replacing!

Scored 9 goals from midfield (in a weaker league but one we now occupy!) and I've not heard a Hull fan say they're happy to lose him, they're generally spitting feathers - as you would be in their position. Inconsistency can be levelled at most players, he's an improvement on Colback/ Anita in that position.

ps. Would be hilarious to hear the reception Sissoko gets at ours if he's still there in a couple of weeks. He's not quite 27 yet, a season learning humility would do him the world of good before he takes over the footballing world with his mostly self-imagined prowess

Stupid price but don't blame them. Why would they want to lose their main goalscorer. This transfer window, in fact the whole summer, is boiling my p!ss.

Normally I would face pre season with cautious optimism that we might just turn things round with a couple of excellent signings and getting off to an excellent start. Of course I have ended up disappointed. This season I was almost expecting a good pre season. A chance to build on the quality we bought in January with a manager who eventually seemed to know what he was doing. Instead we lost our manager, we still havnt signed M'Vila, we havnt got a decent right back. Our squad is wafer thin. Our star striker (and only proper striker) and best midfielder are struggling to start the season. Our best defender is being linked with a move away. I know that this time it has almost all been out of our hands due to the England job, but why do we always have pre seasons like this?

Can not remember a one like this ever, so far no sign of light, never mind a signing. Would be just like us to win at City then thrash Boro. How's that for cautious optimism <ok>

And we call the great unwashed deluded, is your name Baldric and you have a cunning plan. If so do not put it out in the public domain.

Was thinking this the other day. So far all we've heard is a daft like once or twice a week like Dzeko or Sakho, but in reality we're probably gonna be grafting Graham Dorrans on deadline day :emoticon-0138-think:emoticon-0138-think:emoticon-0138-think

£12m buys you a Ross McCormack. A guy who has never ever played any higher than at Championship level.

This is the market we are shopping in, or rather, penny pinching in.

Someone put on Twitter than 15 years ago £12m bought a Thierry Henry, now it buys a Ross McCormack.

We need to move with the times or we risk being left behind, again.

Biggest example of this is Troy Deeney. Leicester getting £30 million bids rejected when the blokes barely Premier quality
