Sunderland have been linked with a move for Argentina international Eduardo Salvio.
New boss David Moyes is thought to be prioritising a new striker, as well as a centre-half and right-back, as he looks to make a breakthrough in the transfer market.
However, reports in Portugal today have credited Sunderland with an interest in Benfica wideman Salvio, despite the 26-year-old just penning a new contract.
Benfica would want around £20million for Salvio though, which would immediately raise question marks, with Moyes thought to be operating on a limited budget.
S Americans and SAFC dont really go hand in hand. Remember the Scocco fiasco.
Admittedly i know jack **** about the player mentioned.
. Knew i was missing loads.
. On the subject of Cabanas, what a player he was on the evidence of the games I saw him play in . He practically played Argentina off the park in one game just before he was mistakenly targeted in drugs related shooting.
