Who's this Zeegler character? A left back so do we assume that Dijks is going or are we going to have two Dutch LBs? Last time I read anything about Dijks he was considering his options. Will he stay or will he go?
I would prefer to have Maddison over Hoolahan. The former is the future, the latter the past, however well he has served the club. Pritchard must stay if at all possible but if a big offer comes in (£12m+) then he wil go.

Agree 100%

I would prefer if Wes stayed one more year and got his testimonial, because I think tradition is important for a club or any organisation. And I admit I get attached to some players. Plus he can still play decent football. But Webber has said he has never made a footballing decision based on sentiment. So, unless Delia says otherwise, it's a coin toss whether Wes stays or goes.

<applause>

I'm beginning to hope he goes so we can find another player to put down. There are several to choose from.

Christ, he's only 34! A bit early to consider euthanasia as an option! <yikes>
But seriously, if Martin, Bassong, Turner (who?) and Whittaker all leave, we'll struggle to find a whipping boy for next season!

<laugh> That's true.

Seems to me though that some people have a touch of memory loss, why else would they keep repeating the same fecking thing?

I agree CS. I'm beginning to feel that the cold, hard approach of SW could produce a team ethos to which I no longer have an attachment. I'm not saying that decisions should be made on sentiment, but Wes stuck with us when we went down to League One and has been a great player for so long. Yes there was the PL/Villa time, but that was when Wes was being shut out by CH. Some on here seem willing to write Wes off, but I'd say he's been one of our best players over the season. Pritchard has looked good in recent games but we need at least two players at every position and a young player as well. I know Naismith can play there as well, but not in the same way and IMO he's better coming in from the outside than as the pivot player. Much will depend on who stays, but I wouldn't be happy with just Pritchard and JM as the options.

I do agree that Wes shouldn't just be sold/dumped, but as Dave said earlier, it HAS to be on the understanding that he is AFTER AP & JM in the pecking order, or is happy to be a sub occasionally!!!
Most other teams/managers have worked out how to limit his effectiveness as well, so IMO, it's time he stepped aside.
