Unfortunately, AI has been tarnished by working alongside the likes of AN and whilst he makes noises about CONSIDERING the likes of Maddison etc for tomorrow, he has tempered that with saying' we can't rush them!!!" They're not being rushed they're more than ready!!!! <doh>

They are definitely not being rushed, In fact, they are stagnating. Remember Alan Hansens famous "you can't win anything with kids". How old was Scoles, Butt, Beckhan, the Nevilles when they made their debuts. That's the difference between a top manager and an also run. Prepared to trust their instincts.

At 24, he already has 9 caps for Iceland, which is remarkable for a CB in international football. My vision, such as it is, would be a ball playing left-sided CB to interact with Dijks and cause problems with opposing midfields when playing out of defense, with the pace to get back quickly if the ball is lost. There was a time when Bassong seemed to offer that capability, but that failed to develop.

I think he's a great player. I won't hold my breath. I won't be gutted if he doesn't stay. He hasn't set our world alight, and seems to be a hot head.

I'd want to keep him, I think there is no chance, and won't be that gutted.

Josh Murphy to Premiership
Bassong, Turner, Whitaker definitely out. Bennett could be.
Naismith seems to have more energy and commitment of late? I wonder why?
Wildshut - will he improve? I hope so with Josh Murphy gone he may get a decent run of games.
Maddison must be kept at CR
