Brave move from Barnsley seeing as he hasn't played since he had his leg broken on January 2nd, although I suppose a fee of £750k to £1m-ish isn't that much to risk these days. He's still returning to fitness though I think. Would be nice to see him continue to progress, although a slight shame that the fee is so reasonable - our sell-on clause isn't worth as much!

On a different note, apparently Saulo Decarli, a BuLi 2 CB, has turned us down because he didn't want to move.
He's decent. I'm not gutted he turned us down. Would be another "prospect" not a fix for our flaws. I think it would be a signing like Zimmermann. Looks the part. Potential, but by no means the finished article.

Saints, Swans, Palarse and WBA all chasing Jacob Murphy!

Keep your fecking hands off, he's one of our own! <steam>
Yes, it was always going to happen and at least we've got him on a long contract, so we can demand a good price for him.
I'm sure I'm with the majority on here and I'd FAR rather keep him. <ok>

Given the length of his contract, I would be spitting feathers if we let him go for the quoted £7m. With the PL so awash with money, I would hope to see us get at least £15m. If that was offered then I think we would be crazy not to cash in. He is good and going to keep getting better (though that is never a forgone conclusion), but we are not short in the wide areas of the pitch, so if he wanted to go and the money was ridiculous then he is replacable in our squad and we could maybe then buy players we need from somewhere other than the bargain bucket and BDII. Show me the left back!

Bah!
