Off to York in the morning for a couple of nights....looks like we've picked the wettest two days going...typical...our week in Devon last month was Baltic never had a week in May like it....global warming eh.

I absolutely luv York. Compact easy to get around and loads of fantastic battle cruisers. The original House of the Trembling Madness is superb.

Done the touristy pubs. Tend to go to the Ackhorn, The Rook and Gaskill and a few others out of the way. Fat Badger beer garden is a decent way to spend a sunny summer afternoon.

Off to Sardinia next Friday. We were supposed to go last September but the impending arrival of our granddaughter meant we had to push it back to this year.

BUT… I turned my ankle over a few weeks ago and finally went to see a physio earlier this week. He reckons I may have torn my Achilles tendon so has referred me to a Consultant who I go to see on Monday. He said they will probably put a boot on it. Nice!

Just back from Gran Canaria, which was last minute but really enjoyed the place.

We away to a log cabin with the dog in July, then Barbados in September.

Always fancied Cape Verde mind, looks beautiful.

Still hoping to squeeze a week in Greece somewhere in August like if can bag a last minute week.

We trying to make up for the last few years in one swoop this year.

We are in Barbados again this year Third time we've been and love the place. Where did you stay ?

We stayed a place called Cobblers Cove mate it was superb. This was last year like.

Was also our 3rd time stayed at Sandals the time before which was decent enough and a place called The House first time which was absolutely incredible.

Just been Europe this year so far.
