Going to Lake Garda in 2 weeks, during the international break - yes I did book the holiday <laugh>
Staying in Sirmione which looks very nice and hoping to visit a few other lakeside towns.

I'm hoping to watch the Palace game at the "No stress Pub" in Sarnico which is run by a massive lads fan. I think the Black Cats of Italy have their meet-ups there.
Has anyone ever been there ? @Stranded in Lugano @Montysoptician @Comfy @becs

I've not been to the No Stress Pub.

I've been to Sirmione and it's a beautiful place. The castle is worth a visit as it's partly submerged in the sea which looks cool. Visited Acquaria Terme which is highly recommended if you like spa stuff. We went in late afternoon and watched the sunset from the outdoor jacuzzi with a Hugo spritz.

We stayed at Hotel Meridiana which is just outside the north end of the town. Their food is absolutely outstanding. We stayed three nights and ate there for two of them. The lady makes all the cakes and they're outstanding. It was my birthday while we were there and I got presented with a chocolate cake with a candle in it which was a nice touch.

Getting ready for the long drive to Portsmouth tomorrow, then first thing Monday morning ferry to Normandy....our 12th visit but first one not around the June D Day celebration, thought it might be a bit quieter.
Said 3 years ago that would be our last but here we go again, looking forward to re visiting the D Day memorial and many of the British cemeteries. We will not forget.

I went there on a school trip and still remember it very well. I’d love to go back to Mont St Michel, Bayeux, Caen and Deauville <cheers>

We went to Bayeux for the tapestry when I was a teenager and we visited one of the cemeteries nearby. I can't remember what it was called.

A headstone sticks in my mind vividly all these years later and it simply said a soldier and had the DLI badge on it. That really got to me. It was probably some lad not much older than me at the time and his relatives back home will never have known his final resting place.

Sitting in the airport bar waiting for a flight to Tenerife. Barcodes are about but any a minimum and I don’t miss any home matches while I’m away. Will be finding a bar to watch the Palace match in between chilling out, eating and drinking and enjoying the fine weather

Anyone got any tips for Utrecht?

I’m there next week and not been before wondering if there’s owt worth seeing.

Never been, but an old friend went to uni there in the long ago. Something to do with her parents, who were Dutch but lived here.

In the eighties this, but she said it had a lovely old centre, a quite lively place and has very old canals and what comes with them.

Whereabouts in Tenerife will you be? I'll be in Los Cristianos and I'm hoping Taylors Lounge will have the match on

Hugo's in Costa Adeje has a strong Sunderland vibe and I can confirm that Taylor's Lounge in Los Cristianos will have the match on on Saturday

Anybody been to Pittenweem just north of Edinburgh, never done the east coast before,
Other recommendations would be welcome.
Fishing villages with a harbour would be nice.
