My lady is usually under the allowance, but her case and half of mine is filled with clothing allowing for 3 changes a day! I've got 3 T shirts,a couple of pairs of shorts and a jumper in case it turns nippy in the evening......she's got every item of clothing she possesses to cover all weather options from Svalbard to Rio!
And I haven't mentioned the shoes!<laugh>
I usually have her hair straighteners and curlers in my bag. Straighteners AND curlers. Make your mind up woman man!

Mate, it's ridiculous. All new gear, the works. I would have just went with what we had as it is! Won't be having many more of these big family holidays in peak season like. With spends, clothes and price it's well in excess of 6k. Just seems insanity.
Off to Dominican Rep in a couple of weeks. Kids are older now, so it's 2 rooms for the 4 of us. The other 3 all have new clobber, the wife bought a new suitcase because the "wheels on the current one are wobbly". Add in the cost of an Airport hotel and the schlep down to Manchester and I'm in the hole for over 10k. Just as well it's all inclusive - I plan to get most of my money back in alcohol <laugh>

Just landed and reminded by EE to folk out another 30 quid to use my phone abroad. It's never ending haha

Going to Side (Turkey) in early August. Looking forward to it.

Got a couple of nights booked down at Alton Towers and the fast passes booked before that. Love the Smiler. :emoticon-0140-rofl:

Last year my rucksack was about 14kg for two and a half weeks. I travelled in a pair of walking trainers and took a pair of sandals, a pair of flip flops and my hiking boots.

I don't really do woman-ing that well :emoticon-0102-bigsm

Off to Turkey in August, looking at average temperatures I had better remember my hat, also ordered a translation book, no doubt at all will try to order 2 beers and be served a goat with olives!
G’s are silent. C’s are pronounced as J’s.

Saying ‘Kolay Gelsin’ to working people as you are leaving is always received. It basically means hope the rest of the day goes easy and well for you.

Ta-shek-tu-koolash - Thank you
Gun-eye-din - Good morning
Merhaba - Hello
Bira - Beer
Lutfen - Please.
Bye bye - Goodbye

That’s all you need basically.
