I think there needs to be a debate around letting Tufan go in January. 18 months in now and we don’t have his best position, he’s near enough invisible in every game. Take away the hat trick against the massive and he’s arguably been one of our worst players. Wages he getting and the fee we could get, I’d cash in.
And yet, before his injury he was one of the first names on the sheet. Tufan is a confidence player and for me brings so much more than Twine (for all his pressing) and so much more quality to the team. When he got injured I mentioned here, I hope he doesn't sit on his backside on the bench, because it took a while for him to get going, thats exactly what has happened.

He had one good game out of 4. He’s on 30k a week we can’t afford to wait for him to get his confidence up.

Think Tufan needs to be in a position where he sees a lot of the ball , his technical ability and ease of passing is a delight . He isn’t a high presser , I don’t think he likes it at all , maybe hard the issue where do you position him , because he can shoot also ?

Not a centre mid? I think that's the area we've been lightest in numbers all season. Beyond Seri, Slater and Morton there's a big drop off in quality to Docherty, and after that there's no one. Seri will be off to AFCON so I'd have thought we surely should look to add another one in that position.

Obviously we're light at centre forward too, but realistically we play the likes of Tufan, Traore or Twine there pretty often so it's not that desperate (not saying we won't or shouldn't go for another out and out striker, just that it's not a desperate situation). And although people will say those guys can play CM as well, realistically they don't unless it's late in a game and we're throwing everything at it.
A few games ago Lokilo in the second half moved into a more central position in midfield and looked really impressive, can anyone else recall it.

But wasn't that only a stop gap John?
I think Kalman is correct, Rosenior moved him to LB again and kept him there, using the logic Kalman mentions (height). Elder isn't small and would have been fine, plus he's actually a LB!

What do you mean, the whole ‘height’ thing was a bullshit excuse because fans were questioning why we weren't using either of our recognised left backs?

Wow. Bit sad?
Anyway, iirc, my issue was square pegs round holes. I didn't understand why we didn't play with a proper LB. I could accept the 'height' argument for a one off game perhaps (even then questionnable as per above) but not ongoing. Greaves's performances were up and down earlier on, but he developed into a great CB and should have been playing as a CB. Imo, Elder (and I can't recall off the top of my head who we did or didn't have as back up) should have been LB, or maybe even gone a back 3. I didn't get playing Greaves as CB.
