What's your point, they weren't signed by Rosey?

Neither was Aydinilik, or did he play at Brighton in a past life? What about Lokilo? Clubs sign some players the manager wants, and some that the Director of Football (Kesler) has identified. It isn't 2005 anymore, Rosenior isn't the manager, head coach and head scout all rolled into one.

And the real reason why Twine went to Burnley was because they had more money and had a better chance of getting promoted.

I guess this was certainly part of the reason, however, I saw a tweet from someone at the Leicester game Saturday who got talking to Twine's agent who was watching, who said Twine had asked Shota what style of play could he expect if he came, and he said he didn't really give a satisfactory answer to that but Company did. However, when he asked Liam the same question this time, then he gave him a clear and concise explanation, hence why he came this time.

You're right, clubs never sign players that managers haven't asked for, how daft of me.

It's certainly daft that you've made that assumption. All I'm saying is that Rosey and the club have to be on the same page regarding what players 'fit' into our style of play, whether they be Roseys proposed choices or the clubs. There's obviously a number of people involved in who gets signed or not.

Made what assumption? You said the club doesn't sign older players when we've done it both last season and this. You then shifted to saying you meant Rosey doesn't sign old players - he signed Allsop - and suggested/inferred he decides who we sign - we signed Lokilo and the Turkish kid. If you're trying to suggest that no players over a certain age can fit Rosey's style as a stop gap until January then I completely disagree.

Ma Utd paid £29999 for Tommy Taylor in the 50,s so he wouldn’t carry the tag of been a 30 grand player. Think times have changed..
Jimmy Greaves went from Tottenham to AC Milan for £80,000 but a year later came back to Spurs for £99,999. Tottenham manager Bill Nicholson agreed this unusual fee as to "relieve Greaves of the pressure of being the first £100,000 player in British football."

I think we’ve brought Morton in because he’s perfectly capable of playing either role very effectively. I suspect LR will have been thinking about having a replacement for Seri in place and fully up to speed before he goes to Afcon.
From what I saw of him at Ewood last season, which was quite a bit, once he starts coming off the bench, he’ll be pushing for a starting berth pretty much straight away.

I think we will see a bit more rotation, Regan is better further forward, so Tyler Morton alongside Seri does look a better fit. However, Seri is not likely to be able to play Sat/Tue/Sat, so chances are Tyler Morton will fill his role alongside Regan. I think Regan in likely not to be starting every game like he has been, but with rotation, injuries and suspensions etc, I think there will be enough game time for most players.

Morton was sent here to further his development, he won't be on the bench , as he played over 40 games last year for a team who finished in the top 10, anything less will won't help with his development. The only rotation will be if he gets injured/ suspended.

That's why I said, he will either take Slaters place or if Seri needs a rest then fit into his position alongside Stater. But you are right he has been sent to play games not sit on the bench, and by all accounts he is good enough to maintain his place.

Is this our strongest 11? Not sure how Tufan gets in.. Unless Twine goes on the left and Connolly drops to the bench perhaps.

This is what I would say too - with Twine/Tufan/Traore all filling in for each other and moving upfront/to the wing/dropping deeper if needed.

Long term I'd prefer Christie to Coyle but the form guide very much says it should be this way round for now!
