Because Simons had one good game against Fulham in the cup some love him . He’s looked tidy like Woods did , ‘safe’ but not strong enough maybe that’s why he’s been loaned out to toughen up and strengthen . LR or his recruitment team expected him to push on and he hasn’t . Loads of players get discarded every season based on coaching staff and managers judgement - Cairney for one - look where he went and how he changed.
At this moment in time Slater is better yes. Simons will benefit from playing week in week out at that standard.Do you think slaters done enough to keep him out the team ?
Someone check on Kalman
Not quite what I asked, slater might be better in your opinion but do you think he’s done enough to keep simons on the bench ?At this moment in time Slater is better yes. Simons will benefit from playing week in week out at that standard.

It’s typical of his type of player. They’re worth signing because of the ability in technique and potential, but they haven’t had the real mens football education. Whilst I don't think Seri is a tough tackling midfielder, I do think he doesn't get quite enough credit for how strong he can be.
I was watching him closely in the Bristol City game and he is quite good with his shoulders and getting control of the ball by putting himself in between it and the opposition player.
