DONE DEAL: Xavier Simons joins Fleetwood
Midfielder Xavier Simons has joined Fleetwood Town on a season-long loan. That move will see Tyler Morton's move from Liverpool confirmed.

Feel sorry for the kid. He didn’t have to leave Chelsea. Could’ve stayed a couple more years being loaned out. He left home in Hammersmith and presumably committed his future to a club in a northern city he has no connection to because he imagined he’d have a larger role to play this season. He had one dodgy game against Donny where everyone in black and amber stunk the place out and he’s been pushed further down the pecking order in favour of a kid on loan who won’t be here next year. I’d be putting in a transfer request for a permanent deal.

players don’t get in the team because the manager feels sorry for them. Maybe we expected him to push on and he didn’t. Either way, if he was good enough he’d be in the team.
