Better than sticking around and not playing though. Been obvious for a while that the shoe doesn’t fit. May as well try and get he best return we can if he’s not going to play. I like him as a player, but clear we are looking for a target man in the mould of Davies or a mobile second striker like delap in our system. Oscar was a poacher in the main.

If it’s Rosie who wants rid, then that’s his prerogative. Better than the owner calling the shots. Football can be ruthless and I think everyone accepts that.

Hopefully we are looking for a replacement though.

So what? If I heard a rumour that my workplace was having redundancies this morning and I may or may not lose my job, I'd still worry about it. Same way if supporters hear rumours from a source close to the club that we're losing a key player with no replacement lined up on deadline day.

Connolly called up for Ireland and Delap called up for England U21s. Would be typical City letting Oscar go and them getting injured…
 
There’s still a mystery striker that can play along the top 3 to be announced, maybe he’s the Oscar replacement?
