My favourite. It’s funny for a Leeds fan <laugh><laugh><laugh>

I was watching the Salford v Leeds highlights, Darlow had his arms open just enough for the ball to go through for the goal. He basically did the same for one of the latter penalties. The final penalty had to be retaken because he jumped off his line by a mile.
Really didn’t look like he did with us last year.

A lot of the criticism is just the same reactionary bollocks you get on here though after a disappointing reversal.

It wasn't Darlows fault the underperforming overpaid ****e in front of him couldn't do the job.

Penalties are a psychological lottery and Salford took theirs better than Leeds in the end.

Could have saved one, could have stayed on his line on the last one but probably wouldn't have saved it if he did regardless.

We ain't dodged a bullet as twitterXwankers suggest. But he's no ****ing holy grail of goalies either. There's no such thing who are signing in the championship, they're all doing so for one reason or another.

Each have strengths and weaknesses and are all of a level, generally speaking. Outliers excepted as always.

So to summarise…

Nothing to worry about with the Philogene deal as far as anyone is concerned. It’s just taking its time.

Davis is weighing up his options but Rosenior wants him and a transfer fee has been agreed.

Oscar doesn’t want to leave, despite us accepting £3m (this seems to be a twitter rumour rather than anything concrete)

Somehow we’re interested in Tyler Morton (not sure of the source here)

Ryan Allsopp has been named as the goalkeeper we are trying to get.

Have I got this right so far? Have I missed anything/anyone?!

I can’t be bothered to go back and dig through the waffle of the pages before and thought I’d try and help others from doing the same - not blaming anyone by the way. It’s just how forums are and things seem to go a little off-topic sometimes. <laugh>

That about sums it up as far as I see.

Another winger, on loan, thought to be Rak-Sakyi.

I am still waiting for the household name signing who will blow my socks off*

*technically as I don't wear socks in the house in "summer", I have no socks to blow off.
The start of my post does sound like it's from a Diana Ross song.

That's Philogene, and it was never described as 'household name' just a name that would make people sit up and take notice of us, which it has.

The thing about Simons potentially going out on loan and us potentially signing Morton on loan that annoys me is that Simons is really the only recognised ball-winner in the squad and Morton is more of a playmaker, which we already have in Seri. For some reason, Rosenior thinks the Seri-Slater partnership in midfield is undroppable despite Slater having one good game every 5 and Seri, whilst good on the ball, offers no protection to the back four off it.

Simons is also our player and Rosenior said he rates him. Rates him enough to sign him permanently instead of sending him back to Chelsea early and chalking it off as one of Shota/Acun's odd summer signings like Vale. This season could've been one where he could get minutes. A dodgy cup appearance where everyone was ****e isn't a fair crack.
I watched Simmons play for the under 21's v Charlton two weeks ago and he didn't stand out at all. Then again I watched him v Nantes in the pre season game and thought he looked fitter and stronger than last season. If he is going out on loan, away from the club, it must be for a reason, perhaps the lad isn't happy here? Then he might not go out on loan anywhere and we will all have to pick on someone else to make stories up about.
